about

Music written in late Spring 2016
Words and guitar overlay written in late Fall 2016

lyrics

Pink hydrangeas in the rain
Island shoreline makes Providence mundane
Greener grasses, salty air
Mainland worriers relax without a care

Parents having fun, 1991, drunkenly she done a karaoke tune
That was long ago, not forgotten though, breezy bungalows and mazes made of dunes
And after 20 years have happened here we’re willingly marooned

Bicycles on cobbled roads
Crescent beaches meet and form a rocky node
Narrow houses, withered sides
Framing windows keeping watch over the tides

Parents having fun, 1991, drunkenly she done a karaoke tune
That was long ago, not forgotten though, breezy bungalows and mazes made of dunes
And after 20 years have happened here we’re willingly marooned

Warm and windy, Jim and Cindy, friends from college too
Beating softly, sun is awfully nice in interludes
